When you see our producer this week--show him your appreciation. He came in and helped us clear up a few things--and taught us some of the finer points of the care and feeding of the video wall.

The revelation of the powering up of the video wall was akin to the mystical "A-ha" moment that Oprah Winfrey often speaks of. The crew was elated and it is truly an awesome sight to behold. Excitement has built over the process of "the care and feeding of the video wall" over the semester as Scott so calls it, and the VW has now transformed from the imposing Beast to the gentle giant that we have finally coaxed out of its massive and impressive shell.
ReplyDeleteLess impressive was the sound connected to the video wall that I momentarily test drove. The sound currently comes out of the tiny speakers on the computer and needs to be hooked up to the speakers overhead. Figuring that out is my next task so that the sound can, if not rival the wall in impressiveness, can at least not sound so diminutive.
Terrific assessment. It will no longer be as daunting to us as it was. Now, however, we must taie care to remember what we did and share it with others--and take advantage of our knowledge ourselves. Tifany--checking on the sound in the IPL is the right thing--and thank you. It is our work space, our lab so, concentrating our efforts on it and not on the cellar at this point was and is the right thing to do. If you want to find out how to do things you've got to do them.
